The Clansman Centre, Fort Augustus : A young Scotsman, dressed as a Highlander, had the good idea to reconstruct the house and daily life of people in the Highlands during the 17th century.

Urquhart Castle, on Fascinating Loch Ness, the most visited ancient monument in Scotland, is often represented in a gloomy, misty atmosphere...

However this is how you'll see it when visiting the site in Summer : a cheerful, bright and colourful landscape, here painted from a photograph taken in May, in the golden yellow light of masses of brilliant brooms in full bloom...

The DRUMNADROCHIT ARTS GROUP,
founded around 50 years ago, is still active in the glen : a more formal class is now given in Drumnadrochit and several of our members have left or moved recently.
The others still gather together in friendly meetings or informal workshops, taking pleasure in working together and exchanging ideas and experiences.
